Finally a free weekend

Finally a weekend with no homework. I think it’s been a month since I’ve last had that happen. Feels good. Only 1 month and 3 days until the end of school now. Wow. That came fast. As far as I know, all I got to do this weekend is mow the lawn which I think I’ll knock off this afternoon. Other than that, chillaxing time. On Monday I have to take an End of Year Biology state exam. It’s so they can find what a standard score should be when they put it on the HSPA. Oh boy! I get to take that next year I think plus the SAT. Whoa thinking to far ahead now… Oh yeah. Gotta do a podcast today too…

Work, work, work… but some play

Phew! I’ve been busy. Really busy. And it’s not over yet. I got all of issue 7 of the Falconaire to put up on the website tomorrow and a three page controversial issue research paper to write. I just got home from a sleep-over at my friend’s house so I had one break this week. Tomorrow’s looking like Mother’s Day, essay, maybe lawn, and articles. No time to do a podcast and might have to get up earlier than I’ll want to in order to get it all done. God I hate being the only one working on that site…..

I’m out of stuff to say. Nothing really interesting. Man I’m tired….

Oh boy! Four day weekend and a cold to go with it…

OK, good news first. I got a four day weekend! I was off Friday already and have Monday off as well. We also didn’t get another huge ice storm for Valentines Day this year. Thank god; that one last year was a living hell – no power for about 3 days and temps under freezing.

So now the bad news… I’ve got a terrible cold for a week now. It’s getting better but I’m still not back to normal. So it’s ruined what I was hopping to do this weekend; hang out with one of my friends and maybe have a sleep-over for the first time in months.

In other news, for one of my computer classes in school I borrowed a laptop for the weekend on which I was going to partition the hard-drive and then install Linux on it to figure out how to work with Linux. Turns out the laptop is way overdue for repairs; the hard drive is starting to fail and needs to be replaced asap because it’s got endless bad clusters (physical damage) and the battery no longer charges so it has to be plugged in all the time.

Well at least I got an extended weekend so I’ll call things even.

Just some stuff…

Well last week sure took forever to end. The nice thing is I didn’t have as many tests/quizzes and as much homework as I was expecting. I’ve got a three day weekend for MLK Day (off monday) which is really nice and needed. I might be hanging out with one of my friends later and might also have a sleep-over; as to where, I don’t know yet.
