Try b43 (http://whyamistilltyping.wordpress.com/2007/12/17/bcm43xx-is-now-deprecated-woohoo/) and see if that helps... Although it looks like the error is in the firmware loader - try recutting the firmware (windows inf files) using bcm43xx-fwcutter. Not sure if it will help you, but bcm43xx is depreciated. Try b43
